Are We the Earth’s Virus ?

I have been doing some radical thinking and believe the earth has triggered a defense mecahnism in order to preserve itself.  Why do I say that? The thing is I have also been doing my reseach and have come accross evidence that supports the fact that earth is a living being and has the insticnt of self-preservation built into it.  My research took me to the book of Genesis Chaper 1: 11 -28 and my interpretation is that God gave the earth life as it commanded it to bring forth life (Vegetation, Crustaceans, Fish, Birds, Insects, Reptiles, Mammals, Bacteria and Viruses). It’s also interesting that some scientific researchers hold the same view and keep warning the powers that be of the impending danger of global warming and rising sea levels.

Why do I believe the earth is fighting back ? The same way your blood cells will attack an infection to preserve your life,  the earth has turned on us to keep us at bay.  Just like the COVID 19, humans reproduce in astonishing numbers and have attacked the earth’s respiratory system to the point of death through pollution(sound familiar?). Have we become the earth’s virus ?
